Miami Hurricanes coach Mario Cristobal held a press conference Monday ahead of the team’s upcoming game against Clemson. Some have called the game a trap game for Miami since all the way back in July, but Cristobal said his team is ready for the Tigers on Saturday.
The dynamic duo of Junior Darian Mensah and Sophomore Malachi Toney look to continue their hot streak and bolster their respective Heisman campaigns this week. They have reinforcements against Clemson, as starting running back Mark Fletcher has cleared the week’s injury report.

Moving on from the star studded offense to the defense, Coach Cristobal highlighted the defensive efforts as he believes the defensive players have bought into the mentality they want to have as a defense. Being able to tackle with an intensity that is what the “U” is known for from the past.
There’s also a very strong culture in place here where that’s what we do. – Mario Cristobal
The team looks to build on the 4-0 start on Saturday against Clemson as the Hurricanes march into a harsh environment in Death Valley as the number four ranked team in all of college football. The game will be on ABC at 7:30 PM ET in Clemson, South Carolina on Saturday October 3rd.
